The Big Tent Event final countdown

Final preparations are taking place for The Big Tent Event – 3C Community Church’s four-day summer festival, held in partnership with Dursley Festival.

Attractions at The Big Tent Event (July 15-18, www.thebigtentevent.org) include live music, an multi-media youth night, the Grand Team Quiz with a £100 first prize, a football cage and family games, all on Dursley Recreation Ground.

Registrations are now open for the Grand Team Quiz, taking place at 7.45pm on the first day of The Big Tent Event, Thursday July 15. Music for the evening will come from One Nation, an acclaimed band from the Midlands playing jazz, funk and latin. Registration forms are available from www.thebigtentevent.org. Teams can bring along the form on the night and pay the £5 registration fee.

The following night at 7pm is The Friday Night Project - a free youth event featuring the interactive multi-media show Icon TV, electro-rock/punk group On Off Switch and the OOS DJs.

On Off SwitchThe Big Tent Event is supplying a football cage as part of the youth attractions at Dursley Festival on Saturday July 17, as well as staging a puppet show in the afternoon.
The final day of The Big Tent Event, July 18, is Sunday Live! – featuring Modern Christian Worship at 11.30am, followed by a picnic on the Rec and Wipeout! family fun and games.

The Big Tent Event is the second summer festival on Dursley Rec organised by 3C Community Church (The first, called Y3C, took place in September 2008). The church, based in Church Road, Cam, was formed in June 2008 by the merger of two churches, Cam Congregational Church and Cotswold Community Church.
